My Favorite Stain Remover

Anyone that has a small child can tell you how important it is to find a great stain remover...

I never thought it possible that all stains could completely vanish, until I found Shout Advanced Gel....

Honestly, I just had to share that, because I feel it is something that every mom should know...

Try it for yourself, you will see!

For The Love Of Vintage...

I absolutely love anything old and vintage...

Do you?

I think I love vintage because it has a story...It was around during a time so different from today...Perhaps, maybe it keeps the ghosts around...Yes, I love anything and everything having to do with ghosts...

My house is old...Not as old as I would like it to be, but it is still old, 57 years old....Every time I walk up my creaky old steps, I feel like I step back in time...As much as I love new homes too, there is something to be said about old homes...For one, I think they are built better...They have such character that can't really be captured in newer homes...

Above is a picture of my living room, with vintage wallpaper..People either love the paper or hate it...It was one of things that made us want to purchase the house...I often stare at it, want to take it down at times, update the room, and then I say to myself ..Not yet, not yet....There is something about it, that makes my house a little different from other updated homes...It gives us a relaxing bed and breakfast feeling...What could be better then that, right?

I would love to hear your opinions on my wallpaper....

Keep It or Tear it Out?

I promise, I won't be offended....

I would also love to see photos, and thoughts about your own house...

Have a great Summer!

The Spring/Summer Collection Is Here....More To Come....

For all of you who love spring and summer fashion, my new pieces are in...

What will you see at my shop this upcoming spring and summer?

A collection of pieces that vary from tiny and minimal to bold and daring...

For those of you who are familiar with my shop, as a designer, I don't believe in focusing on one particular style...Everyone's fashion needs change from day to day...Going to a trendy summer picnic?... Go for that dare to be different frog necklace, shown above, matching perfectly with that adorable white summer dress...Just hanging out with some friends at the park?... Try something simple and minimal like my tiny bee necklace ffrom my everyday miniature collection...

I think its really important to offer variety...Dare to be different...Step outside your norm, and have fun...Enjoy!

A Little Bit Of This And That.....

I am back to my blog this month, in case you have not already noticed....With an extremely active toddler, and a business, I guess I put my blog on the back burner for some time....

I am back for good ( I hope)...Why?.... Because I think it's really important to keep you updated with everything of course :)

What will you find on my new blog posts?.....A little bit of this and that....

For privacy reasons, I won't blog about my everyday life...Let's face it, with a toddler I don't have that much of a social life anyway....But what I will blog about is updated news about my shop, why I do what I do, why I like what I like, cool products, gift ideas, fashion finds, modish links, great online magazines, awesome etsy business owners, and more....

I think you will find my blog a little more exciting then usual, and a great place to go to for some really neat finds.....

I welcome all comments, always...

Have a great weekend!!

Arachnophobia!

Anyone who knows me knows that I am totally afraid of tarantulas.....I am not exactly sure how and why it started because the fear has been alive since I was a young child......Many tell me my mom put the fear in me.......As she is worse then me when it comes to spiders...Lets just say that when I was baking a Halloween cake in my earlier years, she went out and bought me the plastic spiders I needed to decorate the cake ....She came home and told me the man had to pick up the bag of fake spiders for her at the store...LOL....
Today I took one giant leap in overcoming my fear of tarantulas....We went to a bug museum, and though I was aware that they had tarantulas, which did make me uneasy, I had no idea how many!.... They had an entire tarantula room, including a huge bird eating tarantula, and they had a show that you could touch a tarantula.....I knew I had to endure this as I don't want my toddler daughter to have the same fear I do...I stayed in the room when they did the touch the tarantula portion, and I actually thought about petting it...My family was so proud of me that they actually took a picture of me in the tarantula room...I must say I am proud of my daughter, niece, and nephew as they all did pet the tarantula, no fears at all....

Does this mean Im going to the pet store tomorrow to pick up a pet tarantula? NO way!...But I'm sure proud I was able to sit high among so many hairy creepy creatures....

Preschool Woes......

When I grew up, back in the 70's, you were lucky if you even went to preschool, and if you did, you did so at age four.....Also, most of the time was spent painting and playing...Learning your ABC's, no way!....Well, today it is a different story....With daycare becoming more and more popular, people are also putting their children in preschool usually by age 3...

So, if your child doesn't attend preschool by age 3 are they missing out?...What if they don't attend preschool at all?...What are the consequences?
Its been a huge topic of conversation between my sister and I...I guess you can say we have become quite obsessed with preschool choices........Between times (full day/half day), academics, location......It can drive any mom nuts.......Crazy? Probably.........But I just want my child to be prepared for what kindergarten and first grade throw at her...I heard school is getting harder and harder...I must say, I feel my daughter is ready...She already knows her numbers, colors, etc, and she loves being with other children, so Im sure she will love preschool....

I finally made my decision, but it was a hard one.....Maybe the decision was hard because it will be the first time she will not be under my constant care....Anyway, I feel really confident with my choice....

So what are your thoughts? Did your child go to preschool? Are we pushing our children to learn too early, when they should just be playing?

For at home learning, check out Evgie on Etsy.....Above is the Alphabet Soup Set available for $48.00.... .This store sells amazing handmade educational toys.....Take a peek here:
